This Thursday we taught our Year 4 partners how to make the robot go from one line to another. The distance was about 3 metres. Next we had to do a figure of 8, it was where we had to get the robot around two markers. Some of the Year 4's even out smarted us. Next we went to design forest floors on a rough piece of paper for our robots to follow. We needed trees, tunnels, bridges and of course a gingerbread house.
Last time we went to Bethlehem School we only had one little buddy. Our first challenge was to make the robot start at one line and stop at another. We were quite successful with that. Our second challenge was to line two bottles up vertically and make the robot figure of 8 around and then come back we weren't as successful with that. Some things that we didn't do and need to work on next time was involving the little ones more, have more enthusiasm to get the kids more excited about what we were doing and working as a team.
Can't wait till next time and any challenges we will take down as a team because there is always room for improvement.
