Last Thursday our class biked out to B.P.S to finally meet our Bethlehem buddies. When we got to their class and were warmly welcomed with many happy smiling faces starring up at us wondering who their Buddie would be. At last we got seated and finally met the rest of our team. We were paired up with two rascals, good rascals of course, so polite and helpful. First to get to know each other we gave everyone a chance to tell a joke or tell each other something funny about that particular week. After spending time getting to know each other we got stuck into it. We were split up into two groups. Group one and group two. Group one had seven teams of four, and group two had eight teams of four, making a total of fifteen groups, then we set off to work. Group one got their laptops out and made a g-mail account so that they could make a blogger account. Group two were busy out side on the court with the robots, programming them with the actual unit (not the software.) We were in group 2 and our objective was to get the programming right so that we have the knowledge for when we need it. With the programming on the unit our mission was to direct the robot around one milk bottle that was about one-quater full if dirt so it wouldn't fly away or get knocked over by the robot. Our group of four did it, which was a pretty big success. Then the groups changed so group two was now doing the same thing as group one and vice Versa. Unfortunately our groups internet didn't work so we had to make our accounts the next day. After that was the funniest part of it all (sarcasm) the little kids playground. Most of our class were on the playground and most of them, other than our buddies in our groups, stayed of it because they were scared of us and were thinking and saying "what are these big kids doing here and why are they on our playground". We found it pretty funny. After all that excitement we had to bike all the way back to school and continue the day like normal but over all it was a pretty different but cool experience and I know I had fun.
I can't wait until next time
